May 8, 2005; 3:00 pm

Community School of Music and Arts, 3rd Floor Performance Space
330 East State St., Ithaca, NY 14850

Part of CSMA's "Sweet Sounds of Spring" family concert series.

Don’t be surprised if you recognize most of the songs in the program – Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart, Ellington, and Irving Berlin are among those interpreted. But familiar could never mean boring with the artistic direction of Doreen Alsen, who says, "We've found some fun, fresh arrangements of tunes like "Summertime," "How About You," "Round Midnight" and "Don't Get Around Much Anymore," just to name a few. There's something for everybody on this program." You’ll hear some old favorites in new ways and leave humming new tunes.
