“I’ll See You in My Dreams” is an exploration of extremes: night and day,
dream and reality, light and dark. “We’re really exploring many states of
consciousness,” says Artistic Director Doreen Kelly Alsen, “not only from piece
to piece, but also within individual pieces. For example, one song, ‘You Are the
New Day,’ talks about the need for peace in a world where mutual destruction is
a reality, but all with the musical cheerfulness of a tea party.”
This is the group’s first performance in Aurora, in the
Morgan Opera House.
“It’s a beautiful setting, and we’re so happy to be here. Hopefully, this won’t
be the last time.” Located on State Route 90 and Cherry Avenue, the Opera House
is on the second floor of the Aurora Free Library building.
Make an occasion of the concert and come to a complimentary wine tasting at
Bet The Farm, which is right across the street from the Morgan Opera House. The
wine tasting will begin at 5:30 and tickets for the concert are available at the
tasting. After the concert, visit the historic Aurora Inn for dessert and enjoy
a complimentary coffee.
